Council History
Father Thomas A. Judge Council (Father Judge Council) is named in loving memory of Fr. Thomas A. Judge, the third Pastor at St. Anthony of Padua Church (serving from 1970 to 1976).  Fr. Judge was one of St. Anthony’s most beloved pastors who was very well liked by everyone.

He was especially liked by little children who anxiously waited at Mass on Sundays to see what he had in his “little brown bag” to preach about in his homily!

Fr. Judge had a great sense of humor which helped get him through a long but heroic bout with stomach cancer, to which he finally succumbed in the mid-1970s.

Council Information

Our main principles of charity, unity and fraternity are demonstrated in the many activities we promote such as acting as Parish Board Members, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Sacristans, Acolytes and Catechists and Ushers; encouraging religious vocations to the priesthood and religious life; donating to local charities, families in need, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Parish Outreach, AHRC, etc.  Given a worthy cause, we are always ready to lend a helping hand.

The Father Judge Council works closely with the St. Anthony’s Parish in East Northport, NY.

In addition to supporting St. Anthony of Padua Parish, the Father Judge Council also supports our neighboring parish, St. Philip Neri in Northport, NY.
